When We’re Showing Up (and When We’re Not…)
March was the most active month for workouts worldwide, suggesting that New Year’s resolutions may stick around longer than expected. The most popular day to sweat? Tuesday, both globally and in North America.
Regional patterns told their own story: ClassPass users in LATAM like to start strong with Monday workouts, while those located in APAC and EMEA prefer a mid-week push on Wednesdays. Globally, the most popular workout times were 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m. on weekends.
Lunch-hour workouts gained even more traction this year, with reservations between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. up 38% globally, proving that wellness and work are still coexisting, even as more people return to the office.
The busiest booking day of the year was October 7, when users made more than 200,000 reservations worldwide in a single day.
But even the most committed users need breaks. The most common instances of late cancels and no-shows were early morning and post-work workouts. 6:00 a.m. was the most popular time to cancel on weekends, while 11:00 a.m. led cancellations on weekdays.
The top days for cancellations and no-shows were:
- January 1st – New Year’s Day
- March 9th – Daylight Savings (North America)
- February 10th – the day after the Super Bowl
And some things never change: Sunday remains the universal day of rest—the least popular day to book a workout anywhere.

When the World Works Out:
- Most popular month to work out: March
- Most popular day of the week to work out: Tuesday
- Most popular time to work out on weekends: 10:00 a.m.
- Most popular time to work out on weekdays: 6:00 p.m.

Pilates Spotlight: The Practice Powering the World
In 2025, one format continued to dominate across every region and time zone.
Pilates has spent three years as the most-booked workout on ClassPass and shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, this year, it saw a 66% increase in overall reservations from 2024. It was also the first class new users were most likely to book, and the most rebooked workout genre in every region.
Across the globe, “Pilates” was searched over 27 million times in 2025, and over 15 million Pilates reservations were made on ClassPass this year.
With so many variations of the exercise, these are the Pilates formats seeing the highest number of reservations:

- Reformer Pilates (+71% YoY) — the global favorite
- High-Intensity Pilates (+27% YoY) — for those who want the burn

Even when it comes to travel, Pilates remains the go-to: 33% of all reservations made outside of our users’ home markets were Pilates classes.
Beyond the Workout: Wellness Becomes a Ritual
As users pushed harder in their workouts, they also made time for recovery and restoration. For the third consecutive year, massage held its title as the most-booked wellness genre (and the most rebooked appointment across every region), reaffirming its role as a cornerstone of self-care.

Meditation was the only wellness genre to drop from the top 10 this year, though its steady growth suggests it may make a comeback soon. The newcomer taking its place? Sports recovery, which rejoined the leaderboard after a brief hiatus last year—proof that users are continuing to prioritize recovery and post-workout wellness.

Around the world, ClassPass users are ending their weeks with rest and ritual. Friday is once again the most popular day to book a spa or salon appointment.
Fueling Up
For many users this year, refueling became as important to self-care as exercise and recovery. The percentage of ClassPass users who ordered food and beverage on ClassPass skyrocketed 121% year over year, indicating that meals, snacks, and coffee runs are now part of the holistic wellness experience.
The most popular time to refuel was 12:00 p.m. The global (and North American) favorite? Smoothies. Coffee took the top spot in APAC and EMEA, while sandwiches were the top choice in LATAM.
The Crazes That Powered 2025
Viral fitness challenges like “75 Hard” and “12-3-30″ are nothing new, but this year’s breakout trend was “The Great Lock In”. This TikTok phenomenon encouraged participants to “lock-in” on personal goals from September through December.
ClassPass saw immediate impact: between September 1st and October 10th, global fitness reservations increased 12%, with North America up 33%.
Another standout? HYROX, the international fitness race that combines running with functional training. The trend took off this year, with ClassPass searches for HYROX classes jumping 506% globally, and reservations soaring 432% year over year.
Team and community-based workouts like volleyball and basketball also increased 24% globally, highlighting that community is still one of the strongest motivators for movement.
The rise of racquet sports—up by 218% in North America—played a major role in community-based reservation growth. Pickleball, in particular, contributed with a 748% reservation increase globally, and an incredible 1,100% in APAC, cementing its place as the world’s social sport of choice.
Pop culture played its part, too. Taylor Swift ruled not only the charts but also the studios, with nearly 30,000 Swift-themed classes booked this year—almost double last year’s total, likely driven by the release of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.
In fact, between Taylor’s album announcement on August 12 and the week before its release, ClassPass saw a 41% increase in the daily average of Swift-themed classes booked.
Following close behind were Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, and Sabrina Carpenter-themed class reservations, showing us that the best workout soundtracks are still powered by the Queens of Pop.
