FAQ

What is ClassPass?

ClassPass is a monthly service that gives its members access to the best studios in their city. For $99 a month, members get 10 classes to be used to visit any studio of their choice up to 3 times per month.

We want fitness to be accessible and approachable. We want fitness minded people to be able to meet like-minded individuals; where a thriving community and support system can become established.

How long is a ClassPass subscription cycle?

Each ClassPass cycle is one month in length, and will automatically renew on the same day each month. For example, if you buy your ClassPass on April 5, your subscription will renew on May 5.  Once your new month starts, you’ll be able to keep taking your favorite classes (and also exploring new venues!).

How many classes do I get with the ClassPass subscription?

The ClassPass includes some of the most popular classes from top-tier venues in your city. In total, you’ll be able to take up to 10 classes per month, and you can use those 10 to visit any studio of your choice up to 3 times per month. Please note, if a studio has more than 1 location, members can go up to 3 times total across all venues  and not 3 times per location.

How do I reserve a class?

Reserve a class by clicking on one of the venues, and then selecting the class you would like to reserve. Press the “reserve” button next to the class and confirm your reservation, and you’ll be added to the list! All reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. You do not need to bring a voucher or print out to class — just bring a photo id.

Can I reserve a class on a date beyond my current cycle?

You can schedule classes beyond your current cycle. The classes will count towards class allotment for the cycle in which they fall.

That was confusing wasn’t it? Let’s see an example, and no, this is not an SAT sample question. Your next cycle starts on April 1 and today is March 25. You’ve currently  already gone to all 10 classes for March (go you!) but want to plan ahead. While you won’t be able to schedule any more classes for March, you can start reserving classes for slots in April. These classes will count towards your April class allotment.

Please note, if your subscription is cancelled prior to the date of a class you have reserved, that reservation will be cancelled.

Can I make a reservation for a friend using my ClassPass?

The ClassPass is your own personal, all-access pass to some of the most amazing fitness studios around–when you make a reservation through your ClassPass, your own name will show up on the class roster at all of our venue, so they’ll be expecting to see you! While the ClassPass is non-transferable, we know how fun it is to take classes with friends and would definitely recommend buying a month on the ClassPass for one of your friends as a gift.

Why do I have to rate a class?

Evaluating classes is an important part of your fitness journey. It serves as a valuable history for you to remember classes that you enjoyed. Your reviews will always be completely confidential. We will use your reviews to make future recommendations to you, and to make recommendations to other people like you. And, of course, we will anonymously share your feedback with the class providers so that they can keep doing the things you love and make improvements when necessary.

I really liked a class. Can I use the ClassPass to go back again?

That’s great! We hope that every ClassPass subscriber is able to say this! You can visit any venue on the ClassPass up to 3 times per month, or up to 36 times per year. If you like a venue so much that you want to go back even more often, you can use ClassPass to see the entire schedule of available classes at the venue, book through the venue’s site or by phone.

How do I know if a class will be the right level for my abilities?

The ClassPass team has tested classes at each of the venues in the ClassPass to make sure they are suitable for all levels — from beginners to advanced. We’ve found that in many cases, you get out of class what you put into it, and one class can be both challenging and rewarding to attendees with very different capabilities. Of course, be sure to consult your doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to participate in physical activities!

I missed class — what should I do?

Bummer! All reservations and cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the class time. Missed classes or late cancellations will result in the loss of a class from your ClassPass account and may be subject to a $20 no-show fee. We hate having to charge this fee, and want to help you avoid it!

If you’re not going to be able to make a class, please make sure you do one of the following:

1) Cancel the class via your  ClassPass Account page at least 24 hours in advance
2) If you are not able to log in to your account, just email info@classpass.com and we’ll take care of it for you!

By canceling a reservation in advance, the studio is able to sell your spot to someone else. (In fact, many of the classes you are reserving in the ClassPass have a waitlist — so someone will be quite thankful when you cancel in advance!)

My schedule changed and I won’t be able to make a class I signed up for — what should I do?

If you are not going to be able to make a class, please make sure you do one of the following:

1) Cancel the class via your  ClassPass Account page at least 24 hours in advance
2) If you are not able to log in to your account, just email info@classpass.com and we’ll take care of it for you!

Please note that late cancellations (less than 24 hours before the class) may be subject to a $20 late cancellation fee. You will not be able to reschedule any late-cancelled classes.

The class I want to take is sold out — what should I do?

There is a finite number of spaces in each class. We recommend planning early and booking ahead of time to make sure you can get into the class and time you want. If there is a specific class you’d like to try, please email us at info@classpass.com and we’ll try our best to schedule it for you throughout your ClassPass experience.

Can I put my ClassPass subscription on Hold?

You can put your membership on hold at any time. Please notify info@classpass.com at least 3 days prior to your next billing date if you want to put your membership on hold. (i.e. if your next billing date is September 30th, notify ClassPass that you want to put your membership on hold by September 27th.) When your membership is on hold, you will be charged $19 per month and you will be able to book one class per month with your ClassPass (your account is left active and functioning). There is no fee when you return to the regular, 10 class membership.

Am I able to cancel my ClassPass subscription during the 1st month?

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time with 15 days notice by emailing us at info@classpass.com. However, your first month can not be cancelled and is non-refundable.

What is your overall cancellation policy for the ClassPass?

You may completely cancel your membership at any time. Please notify info@classpass.com at least 15 days prior to your next billing date. (i.e. if your next billing date is September 30th, you need to cancel by September 15th in order to avoid being charged for the next month.) Note that if you do cancel your membership (rather than putting it on hold), there is a $79 reactivation fee if you want to return to the ClassPass in future months. All payments are nonrefundable and there are no credits or refunds for partially used periods. Following any cancellation, however, you will continue to have access to the service through the end of your current billing period.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope – all you pay to ClassPass is the subscription fee. Please note that each venue has different policies around renting mats, towels and other class supplies. These fees are not covered by the ClassPass.

When and how often will I be billed?

When you sign up for the ClassPass, your first month will be billed immediately. Monthly subscriptions will auto-renew and will be billed on the same date each month.

What is the value of each class?

The ClassPass is a membership based program. As so, there is no individual value assigned to classes. The ClassPass membership gives you access to these classes.

I purchased the ClassPass during the $100 Cash Back offer. How do I get the $100 Cash gift card?

You will receive the $100 Cash Gift Card after you have been a member of the ClassPass for 6 months. If you cancel your membership before this point, you are not eligible for the gift card. You may put your membership on hold and still be eligible after you have paid for 6 regular months. You will receive a survey to provide address information for your gift card
